DR FERGUS JACK
MA (Cantab), MD, MRCP 1991, FRCPath 1997
Dr Jack trained at Cambridge and London. He worked as a consultant in North Tyneside and honorary lecturer at the University of Newcastle before moving to the Dorset Cancer Centre in Poole as a consultant haematologist in 2001.
At Poole he is currently the Director for stem cell transplantation. He has previously been the Clinical Director for Pathology, worked on the Editorial Board of Lab Tests Online UK and organised the regional haematology registrars’ educational program. He is accredited as a JACIE inspector for transplant laboratories in the UK and Europe, and is an active member of the British Society for Haematology.
EDUCATION AND RESEARCH
Dr Jack was a Leukaemia Research Fund Clinical Fellow in Newcastle, with an MD thesis in Hodgkin’s disease. He is an Associate Professor at St George’s International School of Medicine, principal investigator in a number of NCRI trials and has contributed to publications in peer-reviewed journals including
